Why people fail…
Where should I start… there are so many reasons but few that are valid and cannot be rectified. I think it’s best to start from the beginning...
Let's start with a few questions:
a). Why did I start with this business?
b). What was the reason behind starting?
c). Did I have enough knowledge about this business?
d). Do I now have that knowledge or just ‘internet hype?’
e). Have I taken a pro-active step towards the development of my business?
f). Do I know what it all means? The reasons, the knowledge, pro-active steps?
OK, we'll assume that you have been a ‘victim’ of being taught ‘the wrong things’ and you are now faced with ‘putting things right.’
First, step back and have a serious look at what you really have. Does your current business have proper support and mentoring? Is the business viable? How much time and effort are you putting into making it work?
Is this working out?
While it’s easy to blame the business for your failure, it’s more often the case that you involved yourself with the wrong business. On the other hand, if you are not putting in the time and effort, you won’t get anywhere with any business.
That’s a fact…
Have you kept a list of all your contacts, since starting your business? Do you mail or talk to them on a regular basis? Have you developed any friendships as a result of your contact with others? Do you only want to talk about your business with others?
If you haven’t done any of the above, you need to start doing that right now. There are many lines of communication that you can use to contact others and you need to employ them all. The more ‘open lines’ you have, the better the chance of success!
